Barry Abernathy told me he is honest to a fault — that he says what he feels and lets the chips fall. His unguarded nature made him a lot of fun to work with and allowed me to ask for the details (What do you make for dinner? What would you say in that prayer? Are there hard times, too?) that made "Perfectly Imperfect" feel so real.
